TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (24-10, 9-5) even their series against the Oklahoma State Cowboys (16-16, 5-7) on a 5-1 victory on Saturday night.
Starting pitcher
Owen Kramkowski (5-3) spun a gem for the Wildcats, posting seven scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and striking out five. He earned his fifth win of the season and second in as many starts.
With the game deadlocked in a scoreless tie in the bottom of the sixth inning, third baseman
Maddox Mihalakis lit up the scoreboard with a three-run home run onto the roof of the Terry Francona Hitting Center. It was Mihalakis' third home run of the season, and it would provide all the offense Arizona needed.
Reliver
Tony Pluta worked the final 1.1 innings and didn't allow a baserunner, earning his seventh save of the season.
