TUCSON, ARIZ. – The Arizona GymCats returned home to McKale after two weeks on the road, Sat. Feb. 13. In front of a crowd of nearly 3,000, the team hit 24 of 24 routines falling just short of a win against the Stanford Cardinal, 196.65-196.15.
“I'm so proud of the team tonight,” said Arizona head coach Tabitha Yim. “To compete on Monday and then following up with a Saturday meet tonight isn't easy. They showed a lot of resiliency, grit and heart; they came out together and they achieved the goals we set as a team. I'm very proud of them because we are building, and that's exactly we want to do. The crowd was absolutely amazing tonight, they were into it, they were energetic and it really lifted our girls up. It was fun to be back at home and I truly feel like we have the most amazing community here in Tucson.”
