AZUSA, Calif. & WALNUT, Calif. – Arizona Track & Field completed the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays on Saturday.
The team competed at both the Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational, which concluded on Friday, this week. Both competitions featured some of the top teams and athletes in the nation. After posting four top three finishes on Friday at Mt. SAC, the team added seven more top three finishes on Saturday.
Zach Landa highlighted the day for the Wildcats, winning the men's elite shot put with a massive personal best throw that ranks third all-time in school history and is currently second in the NCAA. Additionally,
Michael Ogbeiwi won the men's collegiate hammer throw.

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
Zach Landa won the men's elite shot put with a massive personal best throw of 67-8.75 (20.64m). That mark is third all-time in school history and is currently second in the NCAA. Landa had not thrown further than 20m in the event but did it twice on Saturday with throws of 20.15m and 20.64m, which came on back-to-back attempts. Additionally,
Tyler Michelini finished third overall in the event with an outdoor personal best throw of 61-3.5 (18.68m) and
Sam Hala'ufia placed fifth with a personal best mark of 59-11.25 (18.27m).
Paris Mikinski tied for second overall in the women's elite high jump, clearing an outdoor personal best height of 6-0.75 (1.85m). This is the second consecutive competition that Mikinski has posted an outdoor personal best mark and top two finish at.
In the men's elite discus,
Sam Hala'ufia posted a big season best throw of 190-5 (58.05m) to place second overall.
Youssef Koudssi finished fourth in the event with a mark of 187-9 (57.23m).
Michael Ogbeiwi won the men's collegiate hammer throw with a heave of 206-10 (63.05m), which came on his last attempt of the competition. Ogbeiwi has surpassed 63m in the event at his last three competitions.
In the women's elite shot put,
Mackenna Orie placed fourth overall and
Tapenisa Havea finished sixth. Orie's best throw of the competition was 53-7 (16.33m) and Havea's best was 52-0.75 (15.87m).
In his outdoor season debut,
Reinaldo Rodrigues finished 10th overall in the men's elite long jump with a leap of 23-5.25 (7.14m). In the women's elite long jump,
Jenica Bosko posted a mark of 19-6 (5.94m).
Mackenna Orie finished 10th in the women's collegiate hammer throw with a mark of 178-11 (54.55m).
Lauryn Love had a personal best throw in the event as well.
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
Zach Extine finished runner-up in the men's elite 110m hurdles with a time of 13.50. The race came down to the finish line, with first and second place being separated by only 0.006 seconds. Extine has now ran times of 13.49, 13.50, and 13.51 in the 110m hurdles this outdoor season as he chases the program record in the event of 13.47.
Antonia Sanchez Nunez clocked a time of 56.81 and placed second overall in the women's elite 400m hurdles. Sanchez Nunez has finished in the top two in all three of her 400m hurdle competitions this outdoor season.
The Arizona Women started the day on the track with a fourth-place finish in the elite 4x100m relay. The team of
Ava Simms,
McKenna Watson,
Dakota Minor, and
Jade Brown clocked a time of 44.50 which ranks fifth all-time in school history. It is the third time this season that the relay team has posted a top five time in school history.
In the women's elite 4x400m relay, Arizona's team of
Ava Simms,
Keilee Hall,
McKenna Watson, and
Antonia Sanchez Nunez finished fourth overall. They clocked a season best time of 3:35.56.
The Arizona Men finished seventh overall in the elite 4x100m relay with a time of 39.84. The team was comprised of
Isaac Davis,
Brian Limage,
Diego Marquez, and
Tyson Tippett.
In the women's elite 100m,
Jade Brown clocked a time of 11.53 to place seventh, and
McKenna Watson ran a time of 11.60 to finish ninth. In the men's elite 100m,
Tyson Tippett posted a time of 10.40.
Taylen Wise clocked a time of 13.47 and placed ninth overall in the women's elite 100m hurdles.
Freshman José Rodríguez ran a big personal best time of 1:49.78 in the men's elite 800m. Rodríguez shaved a full second off his previous best as he went sub-1:50 for the first time in his collegiate career.
In the women's elite 200m,
McKenna Watson ran a time of 23.82.
