TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (14-4, 2-0) secured their first-ever Big 12 Conference series win with a commanding 14-2 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats (11-8, 0-2) on Saturday night at Hi Corbett Field.
Starting pitcher
Owen Kramkowski (3-1) earned his third win of the year after working five innings without allowing an earned run. The tall-right hander surrendered just five hits, all singles, and struck out seven.
The offense was led by right fielder
Brendan Summerhill, who finished the night 4-for-5 with three runs scored, a double and a triple, and three RBI; he was a home run shy of the cycle.
Arizona plated 12 runs in the first two innings and never looked back, earning a dominant win to move to 2-0 in Big 12 play.

Mason Russell (1.0 IP), along with right-handers
Christian Coppola (1.0 IP) and
Michael Hilker Jr. (1.0 IP), all worked scoreless relief outings. The trio combined to strike out five while allowing just two hits.
