ARLINGTON, Texas — The Arizona Wildcats (0-2) fell behind the Clemson Tigers (2-0) early and couldn't catch up in a 16-5 loss on Saturday afternoon at Globe Life Park.
Right fielder
Brendan Summerhill plated four of the Wildcats five runs, three of which came on one swing with his eighth-inning home run.
A quartet of Arizona relievers —
Tony Pluta,
Raul Garayzar,
Garrett Hicks, and
Eric Orloff — worked the middle innings for Arizona and allowed just one run on five hits while striking out 12 and issuing zero walks.

Owen Kramkowski did not escape the first inning and was tagged with his first loss of the year.
