TUCSON, Ariz. – The Wildcats (9-14, 0-9 in Pac-12) are set to host rival No. 32 Arizona State (14-6, 6-3 in Pac-12) this Saturday for their final match of the Pac-12 regular season.
"ASU is always a solid team," said head coach
Vicky Maes. "They are well-coached, and they compete hard. We will have to play a complete match to pull this upset. I know we can, but we will all have to chip in. It will be senior day, so a team effort would be a great way to honor them."
For Arizona, junior
Camila Wesbrooks is 10-9 overall, 3-4 in Pac-12, and junior
Sophia Thomas is 8-8 overall, 2-4 in Pac-12 play. The doubles team of senior
Devin Chypyha and junior
Camila Wesbrooks is 5-4 overall, 1-2 in Pac-12 for the season.
Saturday's match will be a red out and will also be
Devin Chypyha's and
Maggie Cohen's senior days.
