AUSTIN, Texas – Following an outstanding season on the court and in the classroom, Arizona women's tennis player Josie Usereau was named a Third Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.
Usereau maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA while helping Arizona reach the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season. She excelled in both singles and doubles competition throughout the year.
In addition to her Academic All-America honor, Usereau was previously named the Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned Second Team All-Big 12 Singles recognition.
Usereau compiled a 15-7 singles record while primarily competing on Court 2 and posted a 20-6 mark in doubles play.
She was one of only two Division I student-athletes selected as Academic All-Americans while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.
