TUCSON, Ariz. – The No. 7 Wildcats fell in the second game of the series to UCF, 5-4, on Saturday evening. Â

Arizona scored four runs on 10 hits but left 13 runners on base against the Knights.
Tayler Biehl and
Devyn Netz both homered in the game.

The Cats struck first with one run in the bottom of the first.
Kaiah Altmeyer doubled in
Dakota Kennedy to give Arizona an early 1-0 lead.

In the second, Biehl hit her first home run of the season – a solo shot to right field – to give the Cats a 2-0 lead. The Knights tied the game in the top of the third with a two-run home run.

Arizona regained the lead in the third inning on a solo home run from Netz – her seventh homer of the season – for a 4-3 lead.

UCF tied the game at 4-4 by taking advantage of a fielding error to plate one run in the top of the fourth. In the fifth, the Knights hit their second two-run home run of the game to take a two-run lead over the Cats.

Arizona scored a run on a groundout from
Emily Schepp in the sixth to bring the game within one run, but the Cats couldn't complete the comeback.

In the circle, Netz picked up the loss after pitching 3.1 innings in relief. She allowed two runs to score on seven hits and struck out three batters.
Miranda Stoddard started in the circle, giving up the first two runs through 2.2 innings before
Saya Swain entered in relief. Swain gave up one run on two hits.
