TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 17 Arizona won the final game of the Candrea Classic with a 4-0 shutout over Washington on Sunday afternoon.
The Wildcats scored four runs on seven hits and 
Dakota Kennedy went 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored.  
 
Devyn Netz pitched a complete-game gem, holding the Huskies scoreless on just two hits to pick up her second win. Netz struck out a season best nine batters and retired eight straight Huskies to end the game.
 
The Cats plated two in the first to take a 2-0 lead. 
Kaiah Altmeyer doubled to score 
Dakota Kennedy and 
Sydney Stewart followed with an RBI single to send Altmeyer home from second base.
 
Arizona tacked on one more run in the third when Kennedy scored on a groundout from Stewart. In the fifth, Altmeyer forced a Washington fielding error to score Kennedy from second.
 
Up next
Arizona will host the Bear Down Fiesta next Thursday, February 13 through Sunday, February 16. The Wildcats will welcome Fullerton, Ohio, and South Alabama for the tournament.
