AMES, Iowa – The Wildcats were swept by the Cyclones (19-25, 19-25, 23-25) on Thursday night in Ames, Iowa.
Arizona tallied four blocks and two service aces but Iowa State had a .309 hitting percentage and served four aces to overcome the Wildcats.
Jordan Wilson led the Wildcats with 14 kills and
Carlie Cisneros followed with 12 kills.
Journey Tucker recorded six kills with a .500 clip and four blocks for the Cats.

Iowa State won the first set, 25-19. The Wildcats jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start but the Cyclones hit .371 to win the set. Wilson led Arizona's offense with four kills and Cisneros added three kills for the Cats. Tucker had two kills and one block but it wasn't enough to slow down Iowa State's offense.

The Cyclones took a two-set lead with a 25-19 win in the second set. Arizona tied the set at 19-19 but Iowa State used a 6-0 run to win the set. Wilson and Cisneros tallied three kills each but Iowa State was more efficient on offense and served two aces to take a 2-0 lead in the match.

Arizona lost the third set, 23-25. The Wildcats clawed back from a five-point deficit to tie the set at 15-15 but the Cyclones went on a 3-0 run to create separation. At the end of the set, Wilson recorded three-straight kills to fight off three match points for Iowa State but it wasn't enough to force a fourth set. Wilson tallied seven kills and hit .333 while Cisneros had six kills and a .462 clip for the Cats in the third set.
The Wildcats return home to host No. 6 Arizona State on Saturday, October 25. The match is set to begin at 6 p.m. MST in McKale Center.
