STILLWATER, Okla. – The Wildcats lost the first game of the Stillwater Super Regional, 8-0, in five innings to the Cowgirls.

Arizona tallied three hits but couldn't score any runs against Oklahoma State.

OSU scored in the first to take a 2-0 lead. The first run came across on a sacrifice fly and an RBI single drove in the second run.

In the third, the Cowgirls hit a solo home run to add one more run. Oklahoma State plated five in the fourth for a eight-run lead. The Cowgirls hit back-to-back home runs to open the inning. A sac fly, an RBI hit-by-pitch, and an RBI groundout scored the remaining runs.

Miranda Stoddard picked up the loss in 1.2 total innings to fall to 6-9 on the season. She started in the circle and gave up the first two runs of the game to the Cowgirls. She pitched the first inning before being relieved by
Aissa Silva in the second. Silva went 2.0 innings and allowed three runs on three hits.
Ali Blanchard entered the circle in the fourth and faced six batters before Stoddard re-entered to close out the inning.
