TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 21 Arizona lost the series finale, 7-0, to No. 7 Stanford on Saturday night at Hillenbrand Stadium.  
 
The Wildcats recorded four hits and Emily Schepp led the team with two hits, but Arizona left eight runners on base in the game. 
 
Stanford scored three runs in the first inning on a two-RBI triple and an RBI double to take an early lead. The Cardinal extended their lead to four runs with a solo home run from their pitcher in the second.
 
Both teams held each other scoreless in the third and fourth innings, but Stanford plated two more runs in the fifth on a pair of solo home runs. In the seventh, Stanford scored their seventh run on an RBI single.
 
Aissa Silva picked up the loss to fall 14-4 on the season after allowing four runs on five hits in 1.1 innings. Miranda Stoddard relieved Silva in the second inning and gave up two runs on four hits in 3.2 innings of work. In the sixth, Ali Blanchard entered the circle and allowed one run to score on two hits in 2.0 innings.
