SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Arizona fell to Kansas on Friday and Saturday in a 4-0 decision. Doubles play did not occur after the Jayhawks clinched the victory in singles play.
Kyoka Kubo was the first Jayhawk with a win, defeating
Teja Tirunelveli 6-1, 6-0. She was followed in victory by Maria Titova, who defeated
Martyna Ostrzygalo 6-2, 6-2.
Gracie Mulville defeated No. 119
Reece Carter 7-6(4), 6-2 to put the Jayhawks one away from the clinch. He Janse Van Vuuren secured the Kansas win with a 6-7(0), 6-3, 6-1 win over
Kayla Wilkins.
Arizona returns to action Friday, Feb. 17 at 2:00 p.m. at UC Santa Barbara.
