SEATTLE, Wash. – The No. 18 Wildcats (20-12, 3-6 Pac-12) fell in the final game of the series to No. 9 Washington 6-4 in eight innings on Sunday.

Allie Skaggs earned her first career start as the leadoff batter and hit a single and a sacrifice fly to go 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Tayler Biehl,
Blaise Biringer, and
Devyn Netz all had two hits for the Cats.

Arizona struck first on an RBI error in the top of the first. Washington answered with a solo home run in the bottom of the inning.

Following three scoreless innings, the Cats plated two in the top of the fifth for a 3-1 lead. Skaggs brought
Tayler Biehl home on a sacrifice fly and Netz scored
Jasmine Perezchica on an RBI single. In the bottom of the fifth, the Huskies hit a two-run home run to tie the game at 3-3.

Netz retired eight straight Huskies to send the game into extra innings. In the top of the eighth,
Tayler Biehl placed her second hit of the game just behind third base to score
Blaise Biringer for the go-ahead run. Washington walked off the game on a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth.

Netz (9-9) picked up her ninth loss of the season after throwing the complete game but allowing six runs.
