BERKELEY, Calif. – No. 25 Arizona (31-18, 6-14 Pac-12) fell 9-2 to California in game two of the series on Saturday.
Five Wildcats had one hit each, but Cal (28-23-1, 8-12 Pac-12) held Arizona to only two runs.
The Cats scored first with two runs in the second inning.
Sophia Carroll and
Jasmine Perezchica had back-to-back RBI ground-outs to give Arizona an early 2-0 lead.
Cal scored one in the fourth on an RBI double. The Golden Bears scored eight runs in the fifth on two home runs, an error, and a two-RBI single to make it 9-2.
Devyn Netz picked up her sixth loss of the season, allowing four runs.
