CORVALLIS, Ore. – No. 20 Arizona (21-14, 2-10 Pac-12) run-ruled Oregon State (31-9, 7-5 Pac-12) 9-1 on Sunday.
The Cats scored nine runs on eight hits, with six RBI.
Sharlize Palacios went 3-for-4 with four RBI and
Allie Skaggs went 2-for 3 with one RBI. Palacios hit her ninth home run of the season – a two-RBI shot – in the fourth inning.
Arizona scored four runs in the second inning to take an early lead. The Cats added one more run in the third that Oregon State answered with a solo home run. Palacios hit her home run in the fourth and Skaggs hit an RBI single in the fifth inning to take the 9-1 lead over Oregon State.
Hanah Bowen picked up the win to improve to 8-6 on the season and struck out five Beavers.
