Porter Gives Wildcats Late 2-1 Win Over ASU

TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona women's soccer team defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils by a score of 2-1 on Thursday evening in Tucson, Ariz. Hannah Clifford gave the Wildcats their first lead of the game in the first half, scoring on Charlotte Brascia's rebound in the 37th minute. ASU later returned the favor in the 68th minute, but the Cats battled back as Gabi Stoian passed to Amanda Porter who powered a shot past the goalkeeper in the 75th minute.

The Wildcats have the potential to host the first round of the NCAA tournament next week in Tucson, Ariz. after their win tonight.

Arizona now has a record of 10-4-4 (7-2-2 Pac-12) making them the first Arizona Soccer team to win seven Pac-12 match-ups in Arizona history.
