TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona women's soccer team was defeated by Colorado on Thursday evening in Tucson, Ariz. by a score of 1-0. The game began after a 30-minute delay for lightning in the area. The result moves the Wildcats' record to 5-4-1 on the year.
"I thought we worked hard and put ourselves in a position to win the game," said head coach Tony Amato. "We had some chances fall to us in the box and we were unable to execute. We have to make it happen there. We will continue to try and make it sharper for those situations."

56' – Foul on a breakaway for Arizona and Brandi Park was shown a yellow card. Colorado earned a free kick and Taylor Kornieck's shot hit the crossbar and went in. The Buffs took the lead over the Cats 1-0.
75' – Colorado's Stephanie Zuniga took a shot from point-blank range and hit the crossbar, then knocked the rebound in with her hand. The goal was not awarded and Zuniga was given a yellow card.
80' – Kornieck committed an egregious foul outside her own box and was given a yellow card. Paige Crouch's shot on the free kick went wide.
