Tempe, ARIZ. – Arizona defeated Denver on Friday night in Tempe, Ariz. by a score of 3-0. Arizona's goals came from Lexe Selman-Richards, Paige Crouch and Gabi Stoian. The Wildcats outshot the Pioneers 21-1 and had 11 shots on goal as opposed to Denver's one. Denver's first shot did not come until the 71st minute.
"We had a really good team performance tonight," said head coach Tony Amato. "I was really proud of how every player was focused, energized, and ready to play. I felt that in the pregame and we saw it in how we started the match. It will be important to replicate that approach on Sunday."
