TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona women's soccer team was defeated by third-ranked Stanford on Thursday evening in Tucson, Ariz. by a score of 4-0. The Wildcats are now 7-9-1 (2-7-0 Pac-12) on the season.
"The game plan, tactically, looked like it could be effective," said head coach Tony Amato. "We were going to have to grind through some tough moments when they had possession, and hope that when the chances came our way we could bury them."
