University of Arizona Vice President and Director of Athletics Dave Heeke appointed Kristen Arquilla as Arizona Athletics’ new Senior Associate A.D. for Compliance in August of 2023. Arquilla arrived in Tucson after serving in the same position at the University of Virginia following a seven-year stint in the Compliance Office at Ole Miss.
As UVA’s Assistant A.D. of Compliance, Arquilla managed the day-to-day compliance-related needs of a variety of Cavalier programs that included football, baseball, women’s tennis, men’s soccer and women’s lacrosse. She also played an integral part of the compliance office’s development of rules education, insurance process and eligibility waivers among other duties.
Arquilla spent seven years working up the leadership ranks at Ole Miss prior to her move to Charlottesville. She joined the Compliance Department as a Compliance Coordinator in 2015 before rising up to Assistant Director of Compliance and then Associate Director of Compliance over four years. Arquilla was named the Assistant A.D. of Compliance at Ole Miss in April of 2020 where she had key oversight of many of the department’s day-to-day compliance operations.
Her compliance career began as a Compliance Law intern with the Dayton Flyers Athletics Department after earning her law degree from the University of Dayton in 2014. Arquilla is also a 2011 graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
