Michelle Marciniak joined Arizona Women’s Basketball on April 17, 2025, as the General Manager under Head Coach Becky Burke’s inaugural staff. In this role, she leads the Wildcats’ global recruiting strategy, supports NIL and brand-building efforts, and oversees program operations, roster management, and strategic planning. A former student-athlete herself, Marciniak is passionate about preparing Wildcats for success not only on the court but also in life after sports.
Her championship pedigree as a player and proven recruiting success as a coach uniquely position her to help Arizona attract and develop top talent. A former NCAA National Champion and 1996 NCAA Tournament MVP with the Tennessee Lady Vols under legendary coach Pat Summitt, Marciniak played in two national title games and was a standout with USA Basketball and the WNBA. She later served six years as an assistant coach at South Carolina, where she was the recruiting coordinator and signed a top-10 nationally ranked class — including Pennsylvania Player of the Year, Becky Burke.
Off the court, Marciniak co-founded and led SHEEX, Inc., the world’s first athletic-performance bedding company, serving as Co-CEO for over 17 years. Her entrepreneurial experience scaling SHEEX into a global brand also informs her strategic support of Arizona student-athletes navigating the evolving NIL landscape. Under her leadership, the company secured international patents, raised over $25 million in capital, and built a brand recognized worldwide for innovation and excellence.
A Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute, Marciniak is also the first female student-athlete from the University of Tennessee to receive the prestigious NCAA Silver Anniversary Award, honoring her professional achievements and community impact.
