2008 NCAA Champions 400 Medley Relay Team
Arizona asserted its dominance in the relays by capturing a national championship in the 400 medley relay to close the first night of the NCAA Championships. A foursome of Ivan Barnes, Joel Greenshields, Albert Subirats and Darian Townsend swam a school-record time of 3:04.43 to position the Wildcats atop the team standings after one day of events. Of course, head coach Frank Busch’s team would go on to win the team national championship just a few days later. Collectively, the quarter won 52 All-America honors in the careers.
