Kathleen Ann Krucker
A talented, multi-sport athlete who was UofA Outstanding Sportswoman in 1970-1971, she was prevented by limited funding for women's sports from competing in two AIAW national championships: in swimming in 1970, when she qualified for nationals in three individual and two relay events, and once in volleyball in 1970-1971, as captain of the team that qualified for nationals as runner-up in the Intermountain Region. As an undergraduate was WRA president, member of Arete Society and Delta Psi Kappa Honoraries, president of the national College Women in Sports organization and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. Following graduation began career as educator and coach. In 12 years of coaching high school volleyball was chosen Southern Arizona Coach of the Year five times. Was TUSD's nominee for Arizona Teacher of the Year in 1991.
