Kelly Chaplin
Along with Mary Kay Brown, she was UA's first All-American gymnast, placing 7th in floor exercise, 9th on the uneven bars, and 14th in the all-around at the 1985 NCAA Championships, helping to lead Arizona to national prominence. She was the team leader on the UA's young 1984 team that placed a surprising 10th at the NCAA Championships. She set a new record in the all-around before suffering a debilitating knee injury in 1986.
