A complete student-athlete, she was selected for Mortar Board, Spurs, Chimes and Arete Society honoraries, she was a four year starter in basketball, volleyball, and softball, and she was a member of the 1971 volleyball team that qualified for AIAW Nationals but could not compete due to a lack of funding. She was UA's Outstanding Sportswoman of 1973. At Northern Colorado University, she was the AIAW Softball Coach of the Year in 1978 and NCAA Softball Coach of the Year in 1984, and she recorded her 200th softball victory while coach at Yale. She served ln numerous prominent NCAA committees, including the Division 1 Softball All-America Selection Committee Association. At time of induction, she was Vice President for Academic Affairs at Western State College.
