A distinguished all-around athlete, she was named UA's Outstanding Sportswoman in 1945-46. Throughout her college years she was singles and doubles winner or runner up in numerous city and state tennis tournaments. After being high point winner in swimming and diving competitions for three consecutive years, she retired the high point challenge trophy. She served as president of Racquet Club and Desert Mermaids, and was a member of the "A" Club for three years.
