Three-time all-America who pitched in three College World Series, leading Arizona to finals in 1956. Named to third team all-America team as a sophomore, first team as junior in 1955, and second team in 1956. Member of 1955 United States Pan American Games team which won Silver Medal. Pitched two no-hit games in 1956. Played one year in the Major Leagues with the Cleveland Indians.
