An aggressive, exciting athlete, he was the most accomplished UA male tennis player of the 1980's, playing in the number one position in both singles and doubles for three straight years. In 1984, he was ranked as high as No.4 nationally and finished the year ranked No. 15, represented the UA in the NCAA Tournament, was named NCAA All-American, and reached the quarter finals at Wimbledon. He represented the UA at the 1982 NCAA Tournament as well.
