Arizona Signs Guard Karolina Ulan

TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Women's Basketball has signed international guard Karolina Ulan, head coach Becky Burke announced today. 

A member of the Polish National Team, Ulan most recently competed in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket Qualifiers, facing elite senior-level competition while representing her country.

"Karolina is one of the top prospects from Poland," said Burke. "She has competed at the highest levels in EuroLeague and EuroCup competition for multiple years and will bring that valuable experience with her to Arizona. Karolina is a big, long and versatile guard who can score at all three levels. Her toughness and competitiveness will separate her and make our team better immediately. We are very lucky to have her."

Ulan has also been a standout throughout her national team career, competing in the 2025 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket, 2024 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket, 2023 FIBA U18 Women's European Championship, 2022 FIBA U18 Women's European Championship, and the 2021 FIBA U16 Women's European Challengers.

At the 2025 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket, Ulan averaged 14.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, highlighted by multiple 20-point performances and a tournament-best 29-point outing against Portugal.  The season prior, she averaged 12.7 points playing for Gydnia in Poland's top league, the OBLK..

Known for her size, versatility and scoring ability, Ulan brings valuable professional-level experience after competing in both EuroLeague and EuroCup competition prior to arriving in Tucson.
