TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 13 Arizona (37-9, 14-7 Big 12) lost the final game of the series to No. 14 Texas Tech, 5-2, on Saturday night.
Arizona tallied five hits but only plated two runs.
Dakota Kennedy hit a solo home run – her fourth homer of the season – and recorded two hits.
Regan Shockey also had two hits for the Cats.
Texas Tech scored one in the opening inning on an RBI single to take an early 1-0 lead. In the top of the third, the Red Raiders scored on an RBI fielder's choice for a 2-0 lead.

In the top of the sixth, Texas Tech scored three runs to take a 5-2 lead. A two-run home run and a solo home run gave the Red Raiders the advantage.
Devyn Netz picked up the loss to fall to 17-5 on the season. She went 5.2 innings and allowed just three earned runs on six hits while striking out four Red Raiders.
Saya Swain relieved Netz in the top of the sixth and allowed just one hit in four batters faced.
