TUCSON, Ariz. – The Sand Cats finished off a dominant weekend at the Utah Invitational, sweeping the entire tournament with wins over UC Davis, Oregon, and host Utah. Arizona finished the weekend undefeated, closing out the event with a 3-2 victory over Utah on Saturday morning.

Arizona competed in the final day of competition at 10:00 AM against the Utes.

Adri Nieves Papaleo and Kate Phillips continued their hot streak, earning a three-set win over Utah's Quincy Stephens and Katie McAlister. The Wildcats came out strong, taking the first set 21-13, but Utah came back in the second (23-21). In the third set, Nieves Papaleo and Phillips secured the 15-11 victory.

On court two, Kylee Fitzsimmons and Brooke Blutreich went head-to-head with Utah's Langley Griffin and Ellyn Collins. The Wildcat duo started strong, claiming the first set 21-17, but Utah rallied to win the next two sets (22-20, 15-11) to even the match.

Ashlyn Zilliken and Madeline Walker put the Sand Cats back in front with another three-set battle on court three. After taking the first set 21-16, the Arizona pair dropped the second 21-16 but fought back to win the third 15-12 over Sonja Wessel and Maeve Griffin.

Annie Kost and Elin Kaiser sealed the dual for Arizona with a straight-set win. The pair dominated Utah's Kylie Pitzak and Elle Burleson (21-15, 21-14) to secure Arizona's third and deciding point.

The Utes took the final match on court five as Jamie Streit and Katie Lambeth fell in straight sets to Milan Ray and Lauren Sayre (21-19, 21-18).

Arizona completed the Utah Invitational with an undefeated record, sweeping all three matches, including two 3-2 victories over Oregon and Utah.

The Wildcats will look to carry this momentum into their next competition at home for the Wildcat Spring Challenge in Tucson, AZ April 4-5 vs Utah, Arizona State, TCU, and Pepperdine.
