TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona women's basketball team secured its 15th win of the season with a 66-59 victory over Arizona State, claiming the Territorial Cup on Saturday afternoon at McKale Center.
Jada Williams led the Wildcats with 18 points, adding three assists and two steals. Breya Cunningham followed with 16 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Lauryn Swann contributed 10 points off the bench, while Skylar Jones added nine points, six rebounds, and two steals. Isis Beh paced the team with five assists and chipped in eight points.
Arizona's defense played a pivotal role, holding the Sun Devils to 32.8% shooting from the field and forcing 15 turnovers. The Wildcats dominated the boards with a 42-38 rebounding advantage and tallied seven steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Arizona jumped out to a 15-9 lead after the first quarter, with Williams and Jones setting the tone early. The Sun Devils closed the gap in the second quarter, but the Wildcats maintained a 28-24 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, Arizona State made a push, but Arizona responded with a balanced attack, taking a 44-41 lead into the final period. The Wildcats pulled away in the fourth quarter with a decisive 9-0 run, highlighted by key buckets from Cunningham and Williams. Arizona's bench contributed 12 points, providing crucial support down the stretch.
The Wildcats led for nearly 39 minutes of the game, showcasing their control and composure throughout.

Jada Williams: Scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and recorded three assists and two steals in her 12th game with double-figure scoring in the last thirteen games. Her seven rebounds mark a career high that she has now hit twice. Williams was 5-5 from the charity stripe improving to 27-of-31 made free-throws since the start of league play.
- Breya Cunningham: Posted 16 points and eight rebounds, her eighth game this season with double-digit scoring. She marked her first game back in double-figure scoring since playing West Virginia. Nine of her points were scored in the fourth quarter.
- Lauryn Swann: Tallied 10 points all scored in the first half off the bench, marking her seventh game in double figures.
