MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The GymCats closed out their final Big 12 road meet of the 2025 season with a win against West Virginia. The Wildcats earned a 195.300 and the Mountaineers posted a 194.925 on Friday night.
Uneven Bars
Arizona kicked off the meet on bars where they posted a 48.875.
Emily Mueller started the rotation off with a strong 9.800. Two gymnasts –
Aubrey Krohnfeldt and
Sophie Derr also followed with 9.80s to complete the consecutive trio of high scores for Arizona on bars.
Elena Deets added a 9.775.
Vault
The GymCats were on vault for the second rotation and earned a 48.900. Derr posted a 9.800.
Abigayle Martin scored a 9.825, the highest score of the meet on vault for the Cats.
Alysen Fears put up a 9.775.
Floor Exercise
In the third rotation, the Cats scored a 49.050. LaRusso started off the Wildcats and scored a 9.800. Fears followed with another 9.800. Derr had her floor debut and posted a 9.775.
Emma Strom led the GymCats on floor with a 9.850. Mueller finished off the rotation and scored a 9.825.
Balance Beam
The Cats closed out the meet on beam to secure the win where they put up a 48.475.
Amelia Rock scored a 9.775 in her collegiate debut. Deets earned a strong 9.900. Martin anchored the rotation and scored a 9.875.
