TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona Wildcats won their home opener, 5-0, over the Pacific Tigers behind four goals from Nicole Dallin on Sunday.
Arizona improved to 2-0-0 (0-0-0 Big 12) following an aggressive offensive outing, totaling 17 shots. The Wildcats took 10 shots in the first half, and Dallin was the first to score in the 10th minute. She scored her second goal of the match in the 22nd minute to give Arizona a 2-0 lead. Arizona's third goal of the match was scored by Shanti Weddington in the 37th minute with an assist from Rose Calkins. 
In the second half, Arizona took seven shots and Dallin scored two goals to extend the lead to 5-0. Dallin's third goal of the match was scored in the 48th minute. Following a hand ball in the penalty box from Pacific in the 51st minute, Dallin scored her fourth goal of the match. She is the first Wildcat since 2014 to record a hat trick and is one of three Wildcats in program history to score four or more goals in a single contest.
 
The Wildcats held the Tigers to just three shots, none of which were on goal. Arizona had 11 players take a shot, and all four of Dallin's attempts resulted in goals.
