TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – No. 19 Arizona lost to No. 10 Alabama, 2-1, on Friday night of the Crimson Classic. Freshman
Emily Schepp hit her fourth home run of the season in the game.

Alabama hit a two-run home run in the first for an early lead. In the bottom of the second, Schepp responded with a solo home run to put Arizona on the board.

In the third inning,
Allie Skaggs got Arizona out of a bases-loaded jam, and it was a pitcher's duel the rest of the game.

Both teams allowed only two hits through the rest of the game to hold each other scoreless.

Aissa Silva picked up her first loss of the season to fall to 8-1. She pitched 0.1 innings and gave up the two-run home run before
Miranda Stoddard entered in relief. Stoddard completed the rest of the game to hold the Crimson Tide scoreless but allowed three hits.Â
