TUCSON, Ariz. -- In a commanding display at McKale Center, Arizona women's basketball powered past Weber State, 87-66, on Monday night. Career performances from multiple Wildcats highlighted the evening int heir final nonconference matchup.
Jada Williams led the charge with a career-high 24 points, including four three-pointers, and a career-best seven assists. She also added four steals to her all-around performance. Sahnya Jah recorded her first career double-double with a career-high 22 points and 10 rebounds while knocking down three triples. Paulina Paris contributed 12 points and four steals, while Mailien Rolf set a personal best with 11 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting night.
The Wildcats shot 53% from the field, including 11 three-pointers, and held the lead for over 36 minutes. Arizona capitalized on Weber State's mistakes, scoring 22 points off turnovers and dominating with 40 points from the bench. On defense, the Wildcats tallied 15 steals, with Williams and Paris securing four each. Jah also added to Arizona's 27 rebounds with a team-high seven boards. Arizona took control early, leading 45-33 at halftime. A dominant third quarter saw the Wildcats extend their advantage to as many as 25 points.
