TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona Men's Basketball unofficially kicked off their 2023-24 season on Friday night with their annual First Watch Red-Blue Showcase in front of a sold out crowd.

The night started with Arizona's Adaptive Athletics wheelchair basketball game, which was then followed by a three-point contest between
Dylan Anderson,
Filip Borovicanin,
Kylan Boswell and
Caleb Love. Borovicanin won the competition over Love with a final round score of 19.
Following the shootout, four Wildcats competed in a dunk contest:
Jaden Bradley,
Keshad Johnson,
Pelle Larsson and
KJ Lewis. Johnson and Lewis advanced to the final where Lewis took the victory with a final dunk score of 39/40. The annual contest was judged by Adia Barnes, Channing Frye, Andre Iguodala and Richard Jefferson.
To end the night, the Wildcats split up into two teams, which ended with the Blue team beating the Red team by a score of 60-48. The Blue squad jumped out from the get go with a
Caleb Love three-pointer to start the game and went into halftime leading 33-19. Senior
Oumar Ballo led all scorers, totaling 18 points on the night.Â
Next up for the Wildcats will be an exhibition game against Lewis-Clark State on October 20 at the McKale Center.
