TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 25 Arizona (33-19, 8-15 Pac-12) dropped the second game of the series, 10-0, in five innings to the Cardinal.
Carlie Scupin went 2-for-2 and three other Wildcats had one hit each, but they couldn't score any runs.
Stanford (35-19, 10-13 Pac-12) scored in the first on a solo home run. The Cardinal scored two in the second to take a three-run lead over the Wildcats. Stanford added one run in the third and one in the fourth. In the fifth, Stanford scored five in the fifth and kept Arizona from scoring to secure the mercy-rule win.
