PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – The No. 8 Wildcats (10-4) fell to No. 1 Oklahoma (13-0) in five innings on the final day of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
Arizona scored two runs on five hits against Oklahoma.
Carlie Scupin hit her sixth home run of the season to lead the Cats.
Hannah Martinez hit her second double of the season.
Oklahoma hit four home runs in the game.
Oklahoma hit a solo home run to open the game, but
Jasmine Perezchica hit a single in the third inning that sent Martinez home on a fielding error by the Sooners to tie the game. Oklahoma then scored three in the bottom of the third and four more in the fourth. The Cats couldn't come back before Oklahoma ended the game on a two-run home run.
