No. 20 Colorado Pays Visit To McKale For Saturday Showdown

TUCSON, Ariz. - A key matchup early in the Pac-12 season will pit the Arizona Wildcats against No. 20/21 Colorado on Saturday in the McKale Center. The Wildcats are coming off a 16-point win against Utah on Thursday while the Buffs earned a seven-point win at Arizona State.

Fans can watch the game on FOX with tip-off scheduled for 12:30 p.m. (MST).

He enters today's game having posted a double-double in four of his last six games and has six for the season. In the last five games, he is averaging 19.4 points, 10.6 rebounds (3 off. reb/gm) while shooting 63.6 percent from the floor.

Freshman Nico Mannion is second in the Pac-12 and 21st nationally with 105 assists this season. His 6.2 assists per game average ranks 21st in the country and he is the only freshman in the country with three games of 10+ assists this season. He is just the eighth UA freshman to ever register 100 assists in a season and the first since Jerryd Bayless (2008). The UA freshman single-season assist record is 197 assists (Russell Brown, 1978).

Freshman Josh Green is averaging 11.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists over the last five games. He leads the team with 28 steals and has nine games with 2+ steals this season. He ranks T8th in the Pac-12 in steals/game (1.7). He is on pace to finish in the top 10 in steals among all UA freshmen.

Graduate student Max Hazzard got hot and stayed hot against Utah, scoring 24 points in 17 minutes off the bench. He was 6-of-10 from the 3-point line and 4-of-4 at the free throw line. The last UA player to score 24 or more off the bench was Kevin Parrom (25) vs. Cal on Feb. 5, 2011 (triple OT game).
