Los Angeles --Â The Wildcats fell to No. 25 USC on Saturday night in four sets (25-21, 14-25, 25-22, 25-22).Â
The Trojans won the first set 25-21, but the Cats tied the match in the second set, winning 25-14. Despite Arizona's second set victory, USC prevailed in the third and fourth sets to win the match.Â
Overall, the Cats and the Trojans had 51 kills each, with Arizona hitting .213 and USC hitting .231. Arizona led the night in assists and digs, recording 48 assists and 56 digs.
Julia Patterson accounted for 43 assists and
Kamaile Hiapo led the team with 15 digs.Â
Devyn Cross starred for the Cats with a season high .522 hitting percentage and a career high 15 kills andÂ
Shardonee Hayes led Arizona with 5 blocks.Â
The Wildcats will return to McKale Center to host No. 18 Utah on Friday and Colorado on Sunday for their first home Pac-12 matches of the year.Â
