OFF THE TOP
  • Arizona will close out the non-conference portion of its schedule Saturday with a matchup with UC Davis. The Wildcats will then be off until their Jan. 3 Pac-12 opener at home versus Colorado.  The Cats and Aggies haven't met since 1974.
  • Sean Miller coached his 500th game Wednesday night and improved to 375-125 in his 15-year coaching career. Among active coaches, only Roy Williams, Mark Few and Jim Boeheim had a better record in their first 500 games coached.
  • Arizona is 88-4 at home since the start of the 2013-14 season after beating Montana 61-42 Wednesday night.
  • Sophomore guard Brandon Randolph has scored in double figures in all 12 games this season. He's the first Arizona guard since Hassan Adams in 2005-06 to accomplish that. Randolph is also one of four players in the Pac-12 to have scored in double figures in each of his team's games this season.
  • Randolph is averaging 16.8 points per game this season after averaging 3.7 points per game last year as a freshman. His +13.1 scoring improvement is the highest of any Power 5 player this year and would be the largest single-season increase at Arizona since at least 1977.
  • The Wildcats held Montana to 42 points Wednesday, marking the 13th time in the Sean Miller era that Arizona has held an opponent to 45 points or less. Arizona hadn't held an opponent under 45 since beating NAU 92-37 on Dec. 16, 2016.
  • As a team, Arizona has taken 34 charges this season. Redshirt junior Chase Jeter has taken 17 of them.
  • Jeter scored a career-high 21 points Wednesday against Montana.
