OFF THE TOP
  • The Arizona Wildcats will head east to Hartford, Connecticut for their first road non-conference game of the season. The Wildcats are 9-1 in their last 10 true road non-conference games, dating back to 2012-13.
  • The Wildcats bench produced 47 points in Thursday's win over Georgia Southern. That's the highest bench output since scoring 48 against Bryant on Dec. 22, 2011.
  • Arizona had 22 assists to six turnovers in Thursday's win. It's the first time Arizona has had 20-plus assists with six or less turnovers since Dec. 13, 2015 versus Missouri. Arizona had 20 assists to six turnovers in that game. The 22 assists were the most by the Wildcats at all since collecting 25 against UMBC on Nov. 12, 2017.
  • Justin Coleman had a standout trip to Maui and was named to the Maui Invitational All-Tournament team. Coleman averaged 20.7 points per game in the tournament, shooting 58 percent from 3-point range. Coleman hit six 3-pointers against Gonzaga, which is the most by an Arizona player since Gabe York went 9 of 14 from 3-point range against Stanford in 2016.
  • Sophomore guard Alex Barcello finished with a career-high 16 points in 12 minutes Thursday versus Georgia Southern. His previous high was 11 set last year against Long Beach State. Barcello's six made field goals and 10 field goal attempts also established new career bests.
  • Redshirt junior center Chase Jeter collected a career-high 18 points Thursday night. His previous high was 16 set earlier this season against Cal Poly. Jeter also had 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Jeter was a perfect 4 of 4 from the field and was 10 of 12 from the free throw line. His previous career high in free throws made was five.
FREQUENT FLIERS
Arizona's non-conference schedule is taking the Wildcats all over the country. The Wildcats first hit the road last month for the Maui Jim Maui Invitational, traveling to Lahaina in Maui. The Cats then made the trek to Hartford to take on UConn and will travel to Alabama next weekend to take on the Crimson Tide.

Mileage Breakdown of Arizona's Non-Conference Travel
Tucson to Maui (round trip): 5,798 miles
Tucson to Hartford (round trip): 5,054 miles
Tucson to Tuscaloosa (round trip): 3,074 miles
Total Miles Traveled in Non-Conference Play: 13,926

THE MILLERS AND THE HURLEYS
Sean Miller and Dan Hurley will face off for the second time Sunday. Miller's Arizona squad beat Hurley's Rhode Island team in Tucson in 2013, 87-59. While it'll be just the second matchup ever between Sean Miller and Dan Hurley, Miller does have history with Dan's brother, Bobby, the current coach at Arizona State. Miller is 6-0 against Bobby Hurley over the past three years. In addition, Sean Miller's brother, Archie, the current head coach at Indiana, faced Dan Hurley nine times while Archie was at Dayton and Dan was at Rhode Island. Archie went 6-3 in those matchups. Per UConn SID Phil  Chardis, the Millers and Hurleys are two of five sets of brothers that are currently coaching Division I programs. The others are Brian Earl (Cornell) and Dan Earl (VMI), Scott Drew (Baylor) and Bryce Drew (Vanderbilt) and James Jones (Yale) and Joe Jones (Boston).

CENTURY MARK
For the 10th time under coach Sean Miller, Arizona reached the 100-point mark in a game on Thursday, topping Georgia Southern 100-70. Of the 10, eight have come in regulation games. Arizona is 9-1 in those games with the sole loss coming in 2016 at USC when the Wildcats lost 103-101 in four overtimes. The Wildcats scored 100 or more three times last season, marking the most in one season under Miller.

ROAD NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS
Arizona will play a true road non-conference game for the first time this season Sunday at UConn. Under Miller, the Cats have had tremendous success traveling for road games in the non-conference portion of the schedule. Arizona is 9-1 in its last 10 road non-conference games and haven't lost since a 71-67 setback at UNLV in 2014. The Wildcats have won at UNLV, New Mexico, Missouri, Gonzaga, UTEP, Michigan, San Diego State, Clemson and Texas Tech.

Here's a look at the seven coaches:

Chris Mack, Louisville: Assistant for Miller from 2004-09 at Xavier

JETER STARTS STRONG
Chase Jeter arrived at Arizona prior to the 2017-18 season after transferring from Duke, but had to sit out the season per NCAA rules. In his first seven games as a Wildcat, Jeter has been a presence in the paint and a threat down low. Jeter is averaging 12.4 points per game and 7.6 rebounds a contest with three double-doubles. He's scored in double figures in six of the seven games. He registered a career-high 18 points last time out against Georgia Southern and grabbed 10 rebounds to go with it.  In the first game of the Maui Invitational, Jeter had a career-high 12 rebounds to go with 10 points. He finished the tournament with a 14-point outing against Auburn. Jeter also played 30 or more minutes twice in Maui against Iowa State and Auburn, marking the first two times in his career (including Duke) he played 30 or more minutes.

CHASE IN CHARGE
Not only has Chase Jeter been productive scoring and rebounding, he's also been Arizona's top charge-getter this season. A play Coach Sean Miller values as much as any in basketball, Jeter has taken 10 charges in seven games this season. Jeter took four charges in the finale in Maui against Auburn. Jeter has taken at least one charge in every game this season. Jeter has taken more than half of Arizona's charges this season. As a team, the Wildcats have drawn 19 charges, with Jeter drawing nine.
