TUCSON, Ariz.– Coming off of an undefeated weekend of play at the Arizona hosted tournament, the No. 8 Wildcats head to the Santa Monica, Calif. to compete in the UCLA Invite on April 8-9. UA will take on Concordia College, No. 6 Long Beach State, Washington, and No. 3 UCLA.
 
After going (4-0) last weekend in the Wildcat Spring Challenge, the Wildcats now hold a (11-6) record.
 
"Coming off of what was our best week of practice, we played rather well at home this past weekend and we look to build on that for not only this upcoming weekend but for the remainder of the season", said head coach Steve Walker.  
 
UA will open the weekend of play on Saturday, April 8 as they take on Concordia College at 11 a.m. MST. Later that day the Cats will hit the sand against No. 6 Long Beach State to close out the first day of match play. This will be the first match-up for Arizona and the two California teams this season.
 
The following day, the Wildcats will take on Washington at 11 a.m. MST. To conclude the weekend of play on the Santa Monica beaches, Arizona will gear up to take on No. 3 UCLA at 2 p.m. MST. The meet-up between the fellow Pac-12 schools and UA will be the first this season.
 
"There is a lot to play for and the schools we are slated to play against this weekend will once again provide great competition, as good as any we've seen this year. We have a good number of Southern California natives on our roster and I know we will be up to the challenge and will represent the University of Arizona with the kind of energy and passion that our fans are accustomed to seeing", said Walker.
 
This will not be the first time Arizona matches up with fellow Top-10 teams as they took on No. 1 USC, No. 4 FSU, No. 6 Hawaii, and No. 7 LSU.
