EUGENE, Ore. – No. 15 Arizona volleyball hit a season-low .079 as 11th-ranked Oregon defeated Arizona in three sets Wednesday night (25-17, 25-12, 25-19) in Eugene.
The Wildcats (16-5, 5-4 Pac-12) committed 22 attack errors and added five service errors in the three sets. Meanwhile, Oregon (16-3, 6-3 Pac-12) needed nine fewer attacks to net 11 more kills and hit .295 in the victory.
Arizona was led by Madi Kingdon's 13 kills. Penina Snuka picked up her 15th double-double of the season; the sophomore had 26 assists and a team-best 14 digs. McKenzie Jacobson led the team with five blocks.
Oregon set the tone, taking 10 of the first 15 points of the first set before Arizona took 10 of the next 15 to tie the game at 15. The Ducks took the next five and never looked back, winning the set 25-17.
Oregon carried that momentum into the second set, downing Arizona 25-12 and finally into the third set 25-17.
The Cats take on Oregon State on Friday night at 8 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.
