Arizona at Colorado Final Box

Tucson, Ariz.--University of Arizona women's soccer squad battled Pac-12 Conference newcomers Colorado to a 2-2 tie Friday afternoon at Prentup field.

Junior Susana Melendez came off the bench and kicked things off for Arizona (0-8-2, 0-1-1), scoring her first goal of the season in the 36th minute, assisted by juniors Jessica Culver and Kristin Strother.

Colorado (3-5-2, 0-1-1) equalized in the 49th, and then scored again in the 75th. Both goals were unassisted hits from Buffalo Anne Stuller.

In the 85th, Culver equalized, and after two overtime periods, the match was deemed a tie.

Senior goalkeeper Ashley Jettgrabbed seven saves for the night, including three in the first overtime.

Up next, the Wildcats head to Salt Lake City to face Utah on Sunday, October 2 at 1 p.m. at Ute Field.
