SAN DIEGO, Calif.--The Arizona women's soccer team finished off the USD Tournament in San Diego, California with a 4-2 loss to the University of Pepperdine.

Junior Renae Cuellar scored Arizona's two goals, one in the 16th minute, and one more in the 88th, which was assisted by sophomore Brittany Cole and senior Macke Mutz.

"We lost this game in the first ten minutes." Said head coach Lisa Oyen, "We didn't come out with the right organization and discipline, and we were backed into an extremely tough situation."

Along with Cuellar, Cole and freshmen Ana Montoya and Jazmin Ponce made attempts at the goal.

In goal, freshman Lorena Aragon made three saves along with the four goals against.

"We fought hard, and are a team that wants to win and won't give up." Said Oyen. "This weekend's results were unfortunate, but we are confident that we know what to do, and that we are a capable team. We're going to get back, work hard, and get ready for our first weekend at home."

The Wildcats return to familiar territory for the first time this season, hosting Northern Arizona and Cal Poly on Friday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 5th at Mulcahy Stadium.
