TUCSON, Ariz. – The annual Red vs. Blue volleyball scrimmage ended in a 3-1 win for the Red team on Saturday afternoon in McKale Center at ALKEME Arena. The Blue team won the first set (25-20) and then the Red team stormed back to win sets two, three, and four (27-25, 25-18, 15-10).

The Red team was led by Destiny Ndam-Simpson with 17 kills in just two sets and Hayden Reeder followed with 12 total kills. Maria Olga Siapani made her debut in McKale Center with 41 assists and 21 digs to lead the Red team to the win. Reeder also recorded 16 digs and Brenna Ginder had 15 digs to lead the Red team's defense.

The Blue team recorded 10.0 blocks and Britt Carlson and Journey Tucker tallied six blocks each. Carlie Cisneros led the Blue team with seven kills and 15 digs. Carlson also had seven kills and Ndam-Simpson tallied seven kills in two sets.

The 2026 squad will host Grand Canyon for an exhibition match on Wednesday, August 19 at 5 p.m. MST in McKale Center. Season tickets can be purchased here or by calling (520) 621-CATS.
