10/07/2026 | Baseball
TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Baseball will host the Naranjeros de Hermosillo to Hi Corbett Field on October 9 at 6 p.m. MST for the inaugural game of the Sonoran Series.
Last week, the Wildcats took down the Naranjeros 17-11 at the Mexican Baseball Fiesta at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium to kick off Arizona's fall schedule. This will mark the first time Arizona will face Hermosillo outside of the Mexican Baseball Fiesta and it will be the eighth meeting between the teams in history.
Arizona fans will get their first look at the team at home this fall and there will be an exclusive t-shirt giveaway for fans. The Cats will also welcome back former Arizona and current Naranjeros catcher Cesar Salazar to Hi Corbett Field. Arizona Men's Basketball Head Coach Tommy Lloyd is set to throw out the first pitch and select members of the men's basketball team will be signing autographs for 30 minutes before the game on the concourse.
Tickets for the October 9 game are $10 and can be purchased here. Fans can also listen to the game in Spanish on URBANA 92.5 FM.
